It is very important to get your car in for clear bra/paint protection film/PPF nearly straight away, especially on new vehicles. Clear bra/PPF will protect against most rock chips and scratches, but the longer you wait, the more likely the paint will be damaged. Unfortunately, damaged paint will look poorly under the clear film. Because PPF is so thick, it doesn’t conform well to small indentations such as rock chips. It will trap air between the Tesla Model Y paint and the film, leading to grayish-white air bubbles.
