This repeat client of ours from the Lampasas area brought his 2022 Tesla Model Y for his annual checkup (we re-apply a one year ceramic coating during these visits), and to refresh the interior ceramic coating. The 2022 Tesla Model Y white vegan leather tends to get blue jeans and other transfer on it, so keeping it clean and ceramic coated is essential. Before this annual checkup, this 2022 Tesla Model Y clocked about 30k miles in the last year, and the clear bra/PPF we installed last year is holding up well.
2020 Tesla Model Y – Ceramic Coating on Vinyl Wrap | Serving Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights
Our Killeen-area client brought us their prism-colored vinyl wrapped 2020 Tesla Model Y to have ceramic coating installed, to make it easier to clean up. Ceramic coating will deepen the color of a vehicle, just like it did to this 2020 Tesla Model Y. Importantly, for this Tesla Model Y vinyl wrap, it will significantly increase the wrap’s life. Here in Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights, Tesla vinyl wraps last less time than they might in other parts of the country. The excessive sun can wear out the wrap and damage it, shortening its lifespan. A great vinyl wrap might still only last a few years here. However, ceramic coating and other protective coatings have UV protection in the formula. Since the UV rays are what damages the Tesla vinyl wraps, it’s helpful to get a ceramic or protective coating installed immediately.

Our Harker Heights-area client brought us his brand-new Tesla nearly straight from the dealership to protect it against rock chips, and make it easier to clean! It is very important to get your car in for clear bra/paint protection film/PPF nearly straight away, especially on new vehicles. Clear bra/PPF will protect against most rock chips and scratches, but the longer you wait, the more likely the paint will be damaged. Unfortunately, damaged paint will look poorly under the clear film. Because PPF is so thick, it doesn’t conform well to small indentations such as rock chips. It will trap air between the Tesla Model Y paint and the film, leading to grayish-white air bubbles.
