2023 C8 Corvette - custom PPF and track package!

2023 C8 Corvette - custom PPF and track package in Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights

This awesome Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights owner came to us for a C8 Corvette custom PPF job by way of an interesting story. We receive so many deliveries here as a home business, that people delivering to the property see what we do and see the work we are putting out, and refer others to come see us. This C8 Corvette custom PPF/clear bra job was actually a little more challenging than you would typically expect, as the owner already had some custom Racing Sports Concepts carbon fiber pieces on the car that needed protecting, but couldn’t be easily removed. We are used to these custom projects, and we tackled the front lip in one piece (on the main portion), and then added additional C8 Corvette custom PPF on the winglets as well as the sideskirt winglets.

Of course, we also completed our standard track package in addition to the C8 Corvette custom PPF work we did on the RSC pieces. Our track package is a popular option, especially for lower-height sports cars, which tend to see more rock chips than the average commuter car. The track package includes hood, fenders, front bumper (on the C8 Corvette this also includes the carbon flash trim pieces up front), mirrors, A pillars, leading roof line, and rocker panels (into the vent area behind the doors). In this case, we also added the C8 Corvette RSC custom PPF on the front lip and parts of the sideskirts, something that is not typically part of our track package.

Typically, we would use STEK clear bra, Llumar, or Legend PPF gloss or matte paint protection film. Next, This clear bra article covers the major differences between clear bra/paint protection film/PPF companies, if any. Moreover, there are minimal differences between major film manufacturers like Xpel, SunTek, Eastman, Llumar, 3M, STEK clear bra, Flexishield, Global, Legend, and more. Importantly, the key takeaway is that the primary differences are in the properties of the adhesive, which installers have to deal with, but generally don’t affect anything the client sees.

is clear bra/paint protection film/PPF the same as xpel film?

Of course, our clients at HHCC frequently ask about Xpel clear bra/paint protection film. Naturally, our clients want to know if Legend PPF, STEK, Llumar, Kavaca, and other brands compares to Xpel at all. Did you know, a lot of people use Xpel to mean clear bra, because Xpel is one of the most popular brands? Besides the information above about clear bra/PPF, we also discuss Xpel and if it’s the same as PPF/clear bra in this article.

– Solo is a one-year ceramic coating from SB3 Coatings. Undoubtedly, this is our most popular option, after SB3 Alpha five-year ceramic coating.

– Omega is a two-year ceramic coating. Interestingly, SB3 Omega, like many other coatings, enhances the vehicle’s gloss.

– Thirty3 is a three-year ceramic coating from SB3 Coatings. Of note, Thirty3 has a three-hour cure period before getting wet, which is our fastest-drying coating.

– Alpha is a five-year coating, similar to other major brands’ five-year package and 9H. Of course, SB3 Alpha is also from SB3 Coatings.

– Trinity is a seven-year offering from SB3 Coatings. It should be noted that Trinity is a multi-layer ceramic coating.

– Vortex is a two-year coating for wheels and calipers from SB3 Coatings. Unlike many other coatings, Vortex is a high-temp coating.

– Optic is a one-year ceramic coating similar to glass on the market and is used on your windshield/glass surfaces from SB3 Coatings. Unlike Rain-X or similar products, SB3 Optic will last a year. Another critical point is the incredible hydrophobic properties that SB3 Optic has over Rain-X.

– System X Max is a ten-year ceramic coating, and the longest-lasting ceramic coating we offer. Clearly, we have many options that will fit anyone’s budget or desired longevity in the Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights area.

Undoubtedly, ceramic coatings will last as long as we care for them. Of course, you can more about ceramic coating by clicking the button above.

2023 C8 Corvette Custom PPF & Ceramic Coating - Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights

The C8 Corvette Racing Sports Concepts is a modification package offered by some aftermarket companies specializing in performance enhancements for the Chevrolet C8 Corvette. These packages typically include various carbon fiber parts and components that aim to improve the car’s aerodynamics, weight reduction, and visual appeal. Here are some common carbon fiber parts that may be included in C8 Corvette Racing Sports Concepts packages:

  1. Front Splitter: A carbon fiber front splitter is often added to enhance aerodynamics by redirecting airflow and providing additional downforce at the front of the car. This helps improve stability and grip during high-speed driving.

  2. Side Skirts: Carbon fiber side skirts are designed to improve airflow along the sides of the vehicle, reducing turbulence and enhancing aerodynamic efficiency. They can also give the car a more aggressive appearance.

  3. Rear Diffuser: A carbon fiber rear diffuser is typically installed beneath the rear bumper of the Corvette. It helps manage airflow exiting from under the car, reducing drag and potentially increasing downforce. Rear diffusers can improve stability and balance at high speeds.

  4. Rear Spoiler/Wing: Carbon fiber rear spoilers or wings are added to increase downforce on the rear of the car, enhancing traction and stability. They can be designed in various shapes and sizes to provide the desired level of aerodynamic performance.

  5. Engine Bay Covers: Carbon fiber engine bay covers are popular upgrades that replace the stock engine covers with lightweight carbon fiber versions. They enhance the visual appeal of the engine compartment while reducing weight.

  6. Mirror Covers: Carbon fiber mirror covers can replace the stock mirror caps, providing a sporty and stylish appearance while reducing weight.

  7. Interior Trim Pieces: In addition to exterior components, some C8 Corvette Racing Sports Concepts packages may include carbon fiber interior trim pieces. These can include carbon fiber accents for the dashboard, center console, door panels, and other areas, adding a touch of sportiness to the cabin.

Carbon fiber parts are favored in performance-oriented modifications due to their high strength-to-weight ratio. Carbon fiber is lighter than traditional materials like steel or aluminum, which can help improve the Corvette’s power-to-weight ratio and overall performance. Additionally, carbon fiber parts are known for their visual appeal, giving the C8 Corvette a more aggressive and race-inspired aesthetic.
