This 2018 Infiniti Q50 ceramic coating project began with a call from a body shop doing warranty work their client after they had a large portion of their vehicle repainted after a rock truck dumped rocks all over the road. We coordinate with local body shops frequently, which this was no exception. We started off by polishing his hood, which had some swirls and sanding marks left from the body shop. This is not a negative on the body shop, they do one type of work and we do another. Most body shops you can think of as buying a built house. The house is going to be mostly finished but you might want to repaint some rooms or finish off the garage. We often refine paint work by putting that finishing touch polish on the paint.
After polishing this 2018 Infiniti Q50 ceramic coating project, we installed a five-year ceramic coating with extreme hydrophobic and glossy properties. This makes it so much easier to remove bug guts, clean road grime, and remove brake dust (we also coated the wheel faces and windshield). On white vehicles, it’s harder to see swirls and marks, but once polished, you can definitely notice a difference in overall gloss and appearance.
