2023 C8 Corvette Paint Protection Film and Ceramic Coating Install in Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights
In this video, we will be preparing this 2023 C8 Stingray for Paint Protection Film using Autobahn Incognito PPF, which carries a lifetime warranty. This client came to us from about an hour away after seeing all of our videos installing clear bra on C8s in the area and reading our amazing reviews. In addition to installing paint protection film, we will be applying a ceramic coating to the rest of the vehicle (and on the wheels and glass). Initially, we were going to only be doing the front bumper and accents, and mirror on this 2023 C8 Stingray Paint Protection Film project, but after careful consideration, the owner decided to also protect the hood as well. This 2023 C8 Stingray also has the standard Jake vinyl you have seen on our other C8s we have done, namely this model year at the 70th anniversary edition Corvettes. However, the Jake stripe is often installed by the dealership, and this client intercepted the application of the stripe (which retails for about $500) to have us install paint protection film FIRST, and THEN have the dealer put the vinyl on top.
Because our Autobahn Incognito PPF is so hydrophobic, we had to use a special solvent called Acrysol to lessen the film’s hydrophobic properties to ensure the dealer can stick the Jake logo on. I hope you enjoy this process video on this 2023 C8 Stingray Paint Protection Film project!
