2023 RAM TRX Tyrant - Ceramic Coating & debadging in Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights
Our Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights client brought his brand new 2023 RAM TRX in for ceramic coating and a debadging in preparation for applying TRX Tyrant badges after a significant upgrade at the dealership in Granger, Iowa. The TRX Tyrant Performance packages push the supercharged 6.2-liter (376 cubic-inch) HEMI HELLCAT V8 from 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, to an impressive 787 horsepower and 702 lb.-ft. of torque (a gain of 85 horsepower and 52 lb.-ft. of torque). The added power is good enough to push the massive pickup to a 1/4-mile time of 11.84 sec. @ 114 mph, an increase of .9 seconds and 8 mph over a stock TRX. We removed the badging and cleaned up the area with a polisher before applying a ceramic coating. Because the ceramic coating will prevent the RAM TRX Tyrant badges from adhering properly, the owner will bring us the Tyrant back so we can polish off the ceramic coating and re-apply new badges once they arrive. This is the same reason bugs won’t stick to the car, which is a good thing – it means you have a good ceramic coating, just like this 2023 RAM TRX Tyrant ceramic coating. This is not the first RAM TRX, nor Raptor (its competitor) we have worked on. We installed PPF and ceramic coating on a 2022 RAM TRX last year and ceramic coating on a 2022 Ford F150 Raptor and 2019 F150 Raptor.
